What we did today
(& what we’ll do tomorow)

SCIENCE: Today we learned how many different kinds of teeth we have, and tested out how we use them to eat. We also touched the skulls of other animals! Did you know that bears have bumpy molars like I do? And carnivores like bobcats have sharp canines? Tomorrow, I’ll be making gliders to see how some mammals fly and creating are own antelope horns!

ART: Today – Did you know that paper-mache in French means chewed up paper? We used watery white glue as our paste to cover the crunched up paper with layers of colorful tissue paper to make it smooth. It was really messy.
Tomorrow after the glue dries we get to decorate the birds and animal masks by adding on stuff like yarn, beads and other colorful stuff.

RECREATION: Today was water day and we had a blast! There were relays, stations, red light green light and fun water tag games.
Notes from the director
Hope you’re enjoying all the smiles and stories coming home from camp and please share them with us on your surveys tomorrow! We love to hear fun kid quotes about camp, their counselors, or their favorite projects. It’s one of the staffs’ favorite parts of our daily meetings on Thursday and Friday. Looking forward to another great day of camp! Ed J

BLOG: Check out our weekly blog athttp://saedmo.blogspot.com/.. I’ve been snapping some awesome pics of this week’s projects! Especially check out our water day pictures.

PARENT SURVEYS: As many of you already know, we have a weekly parent survey contest to see which parents are best at doing their homework. Parent surveys will be handed out tomorrow Even if you have already filled out a survey last year,, we ask that you take a moment to fill out a new form to tell us how we did this week. The return rate score to beat from last week is 82%! It’s a tough score to beat but if everyone does their part, we can beat it!
